Currently hiring for various part-time shifts as well as substitutes. We are looking for someone to assist the teacher in our "Kids Corner" preschool program for the 2026/2027 school year. Shoreview's "Kids Corner" offers children ages 2½ to 5 years a variety of fun and educational activities designed to stimulate their social and intellectual development. In this program, younger participants learn about letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, while older learners prepare for kindergarten through a curriculum designed around language, problem solving skills, pre-reading and pre-arithmetic. They also explore art, music, dramatic play, physical fitness and literature. This program follows the school year, running from September 2026 through May 2027. We offer a full-day program as well as half days in the mornings and afternoons, Monday - Friday. Kids Corner is located in the Community Center.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The duties of this position are performed primarily indoors in a preschool classroom, with regular outdoor activities and supervision in the Community Center's shallow pools. Employees frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor while supervising and assisting young children. The position requires frequent lifting of children and classroom supplies up to 40 pounds, effective communication with children, parents, and staff, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced childcare environment while maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment.
